GovtSchemesRegister organises information on Indian central and state government welfare schemes into one consistent, plain-language format — eligibility, benefits, documents and application steps.
India runs thousands of government schemes across central ministries, 28 states and 8 union territories — but that information is scattered across hundreds of individual department websites, many of them hard to navigate, inconsistently formatted, or written in dense administrative language. GovtSchemesRegister pulls this into one place, in one consistent format, so a farmer checking PM-KISAN eligibility and a student checking a state scholarship deadline find the same clear structure: what the scheme offers, who qualifies, what documents are needed, and exactly how to apply.
The register currently holds 617 scheme entries — 129 central government schemes and 488 state/UT schemes, with at least one entry from every state and union territory in India. Coverage is being built out continuously; state-level depth in particular is still growing, since each state runs dozens of its own schemes beyond what's listed here today.
Every scheme page is researched against current official sources — government portals, notified guidelines, and recent official announcements — and carries a "last verified" date so you can judge its currency at a glance. Where a scheme has been renamed, restructured, or discontinued by the government, we track that change rather than leave outdated information standing; several pages on this site exist specifically to redirect a search for an old scheme name to its current one. Where sources genuinely conflict on a detail — a benefit amount that's been revised, for instance — we say so directly on the page rather than presenting an uncertain figure as settled fact.
GovtSchemesRegister is an independent, privately-run information resource. We are not a government agency, we are not affiliated with any government department, and we do not process, submit, or influence any scheme application. Every scheme page links directly to the official government portal where the actual application happens — that link, not this site, is where your application data goes and where it's handled under that department's own rules.
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or tax advice. Scheme rules, amounts and eligibility criteria are set and changed by the relevant government department, not by us, and they can be revised at any time — always confirm final details on the official portal linked from each page before applying or relying on a specific figure.
If a detail on this site is outdated or incorrect, that's useful for us to know and quick for us to check. Get in touch with the scheme name and, if you have it, the page URL — corrections are one of the fastest ways this register gets better.
