What this scheme offers
Following the January 2024 consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, several state governments introduced free-pilgrimage schemes tied to the temple, and Chhattisgarh's version — started under the Vishnu Deo Sai administration — covers travel and related arrangements for residents to visit Ayodhya. It functions similarly to other state pilgrimage-assistance schemes: removing the cost barrier for devotees who might genuinely want to make the trip but couldn't otherwise afford travel and accommodation.
