What this scheme offers
Launched during Ugadi celebrations in 2026, Divyang Shakti extends the logic of the women's free-bus scheme to persons with disabilities: anyone holding a disability certificate of 40% or more can travel free on any APSRTC bus, and — recognising that many people with disabilities travel with a helper or caregiver — that companion travels at half the normal fare rather than paying in full. The scheme targets over 12.76 lakh people across Andhra Pradesh.
