What this scheme offers
Launched on 15 August 2025, this fulfils one of the six 'Super Six' guarantees: any woman can now travel free on APSRTC buses across Andhra Pradesh. There's no card, pass or advance registration involved — a woman simply boards the bus and travels, joining a wave of similar free-bus schemes that have measurably shifted how women in several Indian states get to work, college and markets.
Who is eligible
- Any woman, resident of Andhra Pradesh or otherwise.
- Travelling on APSRTC buses (check current rules on whether all service categories are covered, or ordinary/express only).
Documents required
- None — no card or pass required
How to apply
- Board any eligible APSRTC bus.
- Inform the conductor you're travelling under the free scheme for women.
- No prior registration or application is needed.
