What this scheme offers
Handloom weaving is a genuinely skilled craft, but it's also a trade being steadily squeezed by cheaper power-loom and mill-made fabric — orders can be irregular, and the gap between them is where weaving families are most financially exposed. Nethanna Sevalo gives ₹25,000 a year to handloom weavers in Andhra Pradesh, direct income support meant to help weaving households stay afloat through the lean periods between orders rather than abandoning the craft altogether.
