What this scheme offers
Known formally as Pedalandariki Illu ('a house for everyone') and branded NTR Housing Scheme, this programme addresses BPL families in Andhra Pradesh who have neither a pucca house nor land to build one on. It offers both pieces at once: free house-site land — 3 cents in rural areas, 2 cents in urban areas — plus a construction subsidy of ₹1.5 lakh for rural beneficiaries and ₹2.5 lakh for urban beneficiaries, with an additional ₹50,000 for SC/ST families to help close the gap further. Houses run 300-450 sq ft and come with basic energy-efficient fittings. The programme has delivered roughly 4 lakh houses so far against a target of about 10 lakh, so a place on the list doesn't mean immediate construction — timelines depend on your district's rollout phase.
