Jibon Prerana Scheme

₹2,500 a month for one year to nearly 48,319 fresh graduates in Assam, launched February 2026 to give newly graduated students a financial bridge while they search for their first job or plan next steps — support timed to the specific, often financially precarious gap right after graduation.

What this scheme offers

The months right after graduation are a genuine financial gap for many students — the family's education-related spending stops being an investment in the future and starts feeling like an ongoing cost, right when the graduate has no income of their own yet. Jibon Prerana ('inspiration for life') addresses that specific window: ₹2,500 a month for a full year to nearly 48,319 fresh graduates across Assam, launched in February 2026 to support career planning and job searching without immediate financial pressure forcing a rushed decision.
