What this scheme offers
A monthly pension of ₹2,500 for persons with disabilities in Delhi, covering a deliberately wide list of conditions — blindness, deafness, cerebral palsy, autism, mental illness, muscular dystrophy, multiple disabilities and other notified categories — rather than restricting support to a narrow definition of disability. The pension is run by the Department of Social Welfare and aims to give recipients a degree of financial independence rather than complete reliance on family for day-to-day costs.
