Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme

A monthly pension for Delhi's elderly residents without an adequate income source, revised for 2025-26 to ₹2,500 a month for those aged 60-69 and ₹3,000 a month for those 70 and above — a state-level supplement on top of the central IGNOAPS pension. Requires 5 years of continuous Delhi residency and family income under ₹1 lakh a year.

What this scheme offers

Delhi's state-level old-age pension tops up the central IGNOAPS pension (₹300/month for BPL seniors aged 60-79, ₹500/month for 80+) with a more substantial state contribution — for 2025-26, ₹2,500 a month for residents aged 60-69, rising to ₹3,000 a month at 70 and above. The age-tiered structure reflects that needs and vulnerability tend to increase further into old age, and the pension requires 5 years of continuous Delhi residency plus family income under ₹1 lakh a year.
