What this scheme offers
Announced in the March 2026 Delhi budget, Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana replaces the AAP-era Ladli Scheme with a savings structure that pays out ₹1.20 lakh once a girl completes her education — the state deposits money at birth and at further milestones through the schooling years, building toward that final payout at graduation rather than one lump sum at birth. As with several newly announced schemes across Indian states this budget cycle, the detailed instalment schedule and application process were still being worked out as of this writing, so treat the eligibility and process details below as provisional until confirmed on the official portal.
