What this scheme offers
Goa's economy has leaned heavily on tourism for decades, and the AI Mission is a deliberate attempt to build a second, technology-driven pillar rather than leave the state dependent on a single sector vulnerable to seasonal and global shifts. Launched in July 2025 under CM Pramod Sawant and IT Minister Rohan Khaunte, the mission centres on a dedicated Goa AI Policy and an AI Advisory Council, with the explicit ambition of applying AI across governance and citizen services, not just courting IT-sector investment.
