Ganga Swaroopa Punah Lagna Arthik Sahay Yojana (Gujarat)

₹50,000 for a Gujarat widow-pension beneficiary aged 18 to 50 who remarries — ₹25,000 by direct transfer and ₹25,000 in National Savings Certificates, claimed within six months of the marriage.

What this scheme offers

This scheme is the remarriage companion to Gujarat's widow pension. A widow who already receives the Ganga Swaroopa pension and decides to remarry is given a one-time ₹50,000: ₹25,000 is transferred to her savings account through the district office, and the other ₹25,000 is issued as National Savings Certificates so that part of it stays as long-term savings. The applicant must be between 18 and 50 years old, and the application has to be made in the prescribed format within six months of the date of remarriage — a deadline that is easy to miss. Because it builds on the pension, the sanction order of the Ganga Swaroopa pension is the key document.
