What this scheme offers
MYSY exists for a familiar problem: a student who's genuinely earned admission to a good college or professional course, but whose family income means the fees are simply out of reach. The scheme covers tuition up to ₹2 lakh a year for eligible students pursuing higher or professional education — engineering, medicine, and similar tracks — and adds a monthly maintenance allowance of ₹1,200 to help with hostel or living costs, so the financial gap doesn't undo what merit alone secured.
