What this scheme offers
Class 11 is where the Science-versus-Arts/Commerce decision actually gets made, and for a lot of academically capable girls, it's less about interest and more about whether the family can afford lab fees, extra study material, and often tuition for a stream that costs more to study than the alternatives. Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana gives ₹10,000 to girl students who choose Science at that exact decision point, aimed at removing cost as a factor in what should be an academic choice.
Who is eligible
- Girl student in Gujarat enrolling in Class 11 Science stream.
- Studying at a recognised school in Gujarat.
- Meets the academic performance criteria set by the Education Department for the current year.

How to apply
- Confirm your Class 11 Science enrolment with your school.
- Your school's nodal officer registers eligible girl students on the Digital Gujarat portal.
- Submit Class 10 marksheet and Aadhaar details as requested by the school.
- Once verified, the ₹10,000 is credited via DBT to the student's or guardian's bank account.
- There's typically no separate individual application — check with your school administration if you believe you're eligible but haven't been registered.
