What this scheme offers
Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti, Chamba, and the Shillai block of Sirmaur share a common problem: genuinely difficult terrain and long distances that make even a routine visit to a fixed healthcare facility a significant undertaking for many residents. Rather than waiting for residents to make that journey, five mobile Ayush healthcare units bring Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy treatment directly to these remote tribal regions, flagged off as part of a broader push to improve healthcare access in the state's hardest-to-reach areas.
Who is eligible
- Resident of the mobile unit's service area (Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti, Chamba, Shillai block of Sirmaur, and similar remote/tribal regions).
- No income or category restriction for accessing the mobile unit's services.
Documents required
- None required for walk-in consultation — Aadhaar may be requested for records
How to apply
- Check the mobile unit's scheduled visit dates and locations for your area through your local Panchayat or the AYUSH Department.
- Visit the mobile unit when it's stationed in or near your village.
- Receive consultation and treatment under Ayurveda, Unani or Homeopathy as needed.
- No advance appointment is typically required — it operates as a walk-in service during its scheduled visit.
