What this scheme offers
The Chief Minister's Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane (CMKKY) is Karnataka's flagship programme for short-term vocational skilling, meant to lead to a job, self-employment or a small business. Training is delivered by registered vocational training providers — industries, industry associations and private institutes — on job roles aligned to the National Skills Qualifications Framework, with trainers certified by sector skill councils, an assessment and a certificate at the end. The Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) runs it, projects can last up to 12 months, and the 2025-26 call gave special preference to Yuva Nidhi beneficiaries — the graduates and diploma holders who get the unemployment allowance. The ₹3,000 monthly allowance often mentioned alongside it belongs to Yuva Nidhi, not to this scheme.
