What this scheme offers
Sandhya Suraksha ('evening protection') is aimed squarely at unorganised-sector workers in Karnataka who spend their working years without an employer pension — farmers, weavers, small vendors, and similar occupations — and reach old age with no institutional income to fall back on. It pays ₹1,000 a month, credited directly to the beneficiary's bank account, aimed at exactly the group of workers other pension schemes often miss because they were never part of any formal payroll.
