What this scheme offers
A newly-formed Self-Help Group rarely needs a large loan right away — what it needs first is a small amount of working capital to actually start functioning as a group, build a track record, and figure out what its members want to do together. Ladakh's scheme is structured around that reality: ₹15,000 as an initial revolving fund to get a women's SHG operating, followed by access to up to ₹3 lakh in interest-free loans once the group is ready to expand into a genuine income-generating venture.
