MP Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana (Laptop Yojana)

Every student who scores 75% or more in the MP Board Class 12 exam on the first attempt receives ₹25,000 via DBT to buy a laptop.

What this scheme offers

Popularly called the 'MP Laptop Yojana', this is formally the Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana. It's simple by design: score 75% or more in the MP Board Class 12 exam on your first attempt, and ₹25,000 lands in your own bank account to buy a laptop — no application essay, no interview. The eligible list is drawn up from board results and published on the state education portal, where students only need to confirm their bank details. The scale is large: on 1 September 2026 the state transferred about ₹305 crore to roughly 1.22 lakh students in a single round. Note this is separate from Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, which pays college fees rather than a laptop grant.

Who is eligible

  • Passed the MP Board (MPBSE) Class 12 main exam on the first attempt.
  • Scored 75% or more marks.
  • Madhya Pradesh student with an active bank account in their own name.

Documents required

  • Class 12 marksheet (MPBSE)
  • Bank account details — account number, IFSC, bank name
  • Aadhaar card, where requested

How to apply

  1. No separate application form — the eligible list is prepared from MPBSE results.
  2. Check whether your name is on the list on the state education portal once it is published.
  3. Enter or confirm your bank account number, IFSC and bank name in the portal module (often done through your school).
  4. The ₹25,000 is transferred via DBT to the student's own account, usually at a state-level disbursal event.
  5. If you scored 75%+ but aren't listed, contact your school principal or the District Education Office.
