Maharashtra Post-Matric Scholarship

Full or partial tuition fee reimbursement plus a monthly maintenance allowance for SC, ST and OBC students in Maharashtra pursuing education beyond Class 10, with hostellers receiving more than day scholars to reflect the added cost of living away from home.

What this scheme offers

For SC, ST and OBC students in Maharashtra, the jump from free or low-cost school education to fee-charging higher education is often the point where families start weighing whether continuing is affordable at all. This scholarship covers that transition directly: full or partial tuition fee reimbursement paid to the institution, plus a monthly maintenance allowance paid to the student for living expenses — ₹2,500/month for those staying in a hostel, ₹1,000/month for day scholars commuting from home, reflecting that hostel life genuinely costs more.
