Startup Manipur Scheme

Funding and infrastructure support to build a genuine startup ecosystem in Manipur, aimed at women-led, student-led, idea-stage and revenue-stage ventures alike — covering incentives for idea development, prototyping and commercialisation, alongside a planned Network of Entrepreneurship Development Centres in universities, business incubators, and preferential land leases for government-recognised incubators.

What this scheme offers

A good business idea in Manipur often has nowhere to go for the specific kind of early support — seed funding, mentorship, workspace — that separates an idea from an actual company. Startup Manipur is built to close that gap directly, providing incentives at each stage of a startup's life: idea development, prototyping, and commercialisation, aimed equally at women-led, student-led, idea-stage and revenue-stage ventures. Beyond direct funding, the scheme is building a Network of Entrepreneurship Development Centres in universities, partnering with business incubators, and offering preferential land leases to government-recognised incubators — infrastructure meant to make Manipur one of the Northeast's genuine startup destinations rather than just a source of funding.
