What this scheme offers
A disability of 40% or more genuinely affects a person's earning capacity, and often adds ongoing healthcare and mobility costs on top of that — a combination that makes a modest, reliable monthly income meaningfully different from having no dedicated support at all. Mizoram's disability pension provides ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 a month to permanent residents (Inner Line Permit holders) with 40% or more disability, aimed at covering day-to-day living costs.
