What this scheme offers
PGRKAM predates the current AAP government — it was first introduced under Congress CM Captain Amarinder Singh as a single platform to connect Punjab's job-seekers with employers and with self-employment or business-loan opportunities, rather than leaving people to navigate scattered, employer-by-employer job hunting. The AAP government has kept the portal operational rather than replacing it, and separately reports facilitating over 70,000 government job placements during its own tenure — though it's not entirely clear from public reporting how much of that figure runs specifically through PGRKAM versus other recruitment channels.
