What this scheme offers
Rajasthan runs its scooty scheme by category rather than as one blanket programme — Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana covers Scheduled Tribe girls, and Devnarayan Scooty Yojana covers OBC girls, both addressing the same practical problem: a girl who scores well but lives far from the nearest senior secondary school or college often drops out simply because of the daily commute, especially once safety concerns are added to distance. A scooty removes that barrier directly, letting a 50%+ scorer continue into higher secondary or college rather than stopping at Class 10 or 12.
