What this scheme offers
Education costs go well beyond tuition fees — books, supplies, and increasingly a computer for digital coursework are all part of the real cost of staying in school. CMEAS covers financial assistance for these education-related costs, and is delivered alongside a companion laptop distribution programme that gives students direct digital access rather than assuming they already have it. It's one part of a wider set of education-linked support from the Chief Minister's Office, which also includes the Nar Bahadur Bhandari Fellowship for book publication.
