What this scheme offers
Many Adi Dravidar and tribal women in Tamil Nadu spend their working lives on other people's fields. This scheme aims to turn them into landowners: it pays 50% of the cost of buying agricultural land, up to ₹5 lakh, and waives stamp duty and registration fees on the purchase. Beneficiaries also get training in modern farming techniques. It was launched on 5 August 2026 as Mannin Magal Thittam, replacing the earlier Nannilam Magalir Nila Udamai Thittam; applications are handled through TAHDCO (Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation), which can also arrange a bank loan for the remaining cost.
