What this scheme offers
Some emergencies don't fit neatly into any standing welfare scheme — a sudden medical crisis requiring surgery the family can't afford, a house fire, flood damage — and waiting for a routine scheme's usual process could mean real harm in the meantime. The CM Relief Fund exists for exactly that gap: discretionary emergency assistance of up to ₹5 lakh for BPL families in Telangana facing a genuine crisis, assessed and disbursed faster than a standard welfare application would allow.
Who is eligible
- BPL family in Telangana facing a medical emergency, fire, flood, or similar sudden crisis.
- Genuine financial hardship that existing schemes don't adequately cover.
- Supporting documentation for the specific emergency (medical estimate, fire/flood damage report, etc.).
Documents required
- Aadhaar card
- Ration card / BPL proof
- Medical estimate or bills, for health emergencies
- Fire/flood/disaster report from local authorities, where applicable
- Bank account details
How to apply
- Apply online at cmrf.telangana.gov.in, or submit a written application with supporting documents to the CM's Office or your local MLA/MP's office for forwarding.
- Attach relevant documentation — medical estimates for health cases, or an official damage report for fire/flood/disaster cases.
- Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis given the fund's discretionary nature.
- Approved assistance is credited directly to the beneficiary's bank account.
- Follow up through the same channel if your application status is unclear.
