CM-SATH Scheme — Chief Minister's Scholarship for Assistance to Talented and High-performing students

₹5,000 a month for Tripura's top 100 Class 10 and top 100 Class 12 board exam performers — financial backing for exceptionally talented students from modest economic backgrounds.

What this scheme offers

Introduced by Chief Minister Manik Saha's government, CM-SATH selects 200 students each year based on their performance in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education exams — the top 100 from the Madhyamik (Class 10) level and the top 100 from the Higher Secondary (Class 12) level. Selected students receive ₹5,000 a month, totalling ₹60,000 a year, aimed at supporting continued education for high-achieving students who might otherwise face financial barriers. Madhyamik-level recipients receive the scholarship for 2 years; Higher Secondary-level recipients receive it for 3 years, covering their progression through the next stage of education.

Who is eligible

  • Permanent resident of Tripura.
  • Must rank among the top 100 performers in either the Madhyamik (Class 10) or Higher Secondary (Class 12) board examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.
  • Selection is based on merit ranking, not a separate application-based eligibility test — you qualify by your exam result.

Documents required
