What this scheme offers
Launched in 2017, Shadi Anudan gives poor Uttar Pradesh families a one-time cash grant toward a daughter's wedding, covering up to two daughters per family. It's worth being upfront about one thing: the exact amount is reported very inconsistently across sources — some say ₹20,000, others say it was enhanced to ₹51,000 in 2024, and older pages mention ₹55,000 or ₹60,000. This kind of figure drift happens when a scheme's benefit amount gets revised and older content simply never gets updated. Treat any amount you read (including ours) as indicative, and confirm the current figure directly on the official portal before you apply or plan around it.
