What this scheme offers
India's unorganised workforce — daily wage labourers, small vendors, domestic workers and similar occupations — typically has no employer-provided insurance of any kind, meaning a death or disabling injury can be financially catastrophic for the family with no safety net at all. Bina Mulya Samajik Suraksha Yojana closes that gap at zero cost to the worker: natural death is covered at ₹2 lakh, accidental death at ₹5 lakh, permanent disability at ₹5 lakh, and partial disability at ₹2.5 lakh — genuine insurance cover for a workforce that would otherwise have to buy it themselves, if they could afford to at all.
