What this scheme offers
Aimed squarely at the 18–45 age bracket — old enough to run a business, young enough that a five-year loan term is manageable — Karma Sathi Prakalpa gives West Bengal youth up to ₹2 lakh completely interest-free to start a self-employment venture. Unlike schemes that combine a grant with a loan, this is structured as a single, straightforward interest-free loan, which keeps the application and repayment terms simpler than multi-part subsidy schemes elsewhere.
