Reservation of Seats for A&N Students in Mainland Colleges

Reserved seats for students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands in colleges affiliated with mainland universities.

What this scheme offers

Living on an island chain with a genuinely small higher-education footprint means students who want a course their local colleges don't offer have to look to the mainland — and competing there against a vastly larger applicant pool would put them at a real structural disadvantage. This scheme reserves seats specifically for A&N students in colleges affiliated with mainland universities, such as the University of Calicut, so island students aren't competing on unequal terms for the courses they need to leave home for.
