What this scheme offers
Registration with Andhra Pradesh's construction workers' welfare board unlocks one of the more comprehensive benefit packages among Indian state boards: ₹5 lakh accident insurance, a ₹1,500 monthly pension from age 60, education support for children, and maternity benefits — funded through a cess collected on construction projects statewide. Beyond the core package, the Board separately runs a scheme providing artificial limbs and appliances for registered disabled construction workers, and a 15-day skill-upgradation training programme covering safety and hygiene, giving workers routes to both financial security and better on-site skills.
