AP Post-Matric Scholarship (Fee & Hostel Reimbursement)

Full tuition-fee reimbursement paid directly to the college, plus a separate hostel/mess allowance of ₹10,000-20,000 a year depending on course level, for SC, ST, BC, EBC, Kapu, Minority and EWS students in Andhra Pradesh pursuing ITI, polytechnic, degree or professional courses. Long referred to as Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, and run through the Jnanabhumi portal.

What this scheme offers

Andhra Pradesh's post-matric support for students from SC, ST, BC, EBC, Kapu, Minority and EWS backgrounds runs on two tracks that work together: full tuition-fee reimbursement — paid directly to the institution, not the student — covers ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering, medical and other professional courses, while a separate hostel and mess allowance of ₹10,000 for ITI students, ₹15,000 for polytechnic/diploma students, and ₹20,000 for degree and above goes to the student's mother's bank account to cover living costs for those studying away from home. These components have long been known as Jagananna Vidya Deevena (fees) and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena (maintenance); some recent references describe the system simply as AP Post-Matric Scholarships, so don't be surprised to see either name used.
