What this scheme offers
Chandranna Bima actually has roots going back to Chandrababu Naidu's earlier terms as Chief Minister — the scheme existed in some form well before the current government took office in 2024, and was rebranded from YSR Bima after Naidu's return to power, continuing coverage for unorganised-sector workers who typically have no employer-provided insurance of any kind. It covers natural death, accidental death and disability at no cost to the worker, though the exact coverage figures reported for each category genuinely vary across sources — some describe ₹5 lakh for accidental death and disability, others describe up to ₹10 lakh — so confirm your exact entitlement on the official portal before relying on a specific number.
