What this scheme offers
Part of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 7 Nishchay (Seven Resolves) programme launched in 2016, this scheme pays a modest but genuine monthly allowance to educated young people in Bihar who are actively looking for work but haven't found it yet. It's deliberately time-bound — a maximum of two years — and deliberately conditional on genuinely searching: registration at a District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC) is mandatory, and the allowance stops immediately once the beneficiary reports finding employment, keeping it closer to a bridge than a permanent income.

- Permanent resident of Bihar, aged 20 to 25 years.
- Passed Class 12 (Intermediate) or equivalent.
- Currently unemployed and actively seeking work.
- Registered at the District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC).
- Family income within the limit prescribed by the 7 Nishchay Yuva Mission (confirm current threshold on the portal).

How to apply
- Register at 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in.
- Visit your District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC) to complete in-person verification.
- Submit your Class 12 certificate, Aadhaar, and income proof.
