What this scheme offers
CSCs are physical service points, run by local Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), that bring government and private digital services within reach of rural and remote citizens — Aadhaar enrolment and updates, PAN card applications, banking, insurance, utility bill payments, telemedicine, education, e-courts services, and access to most other central and state schemes. There are over 5 lakh CSCs across India, with the goal of at least one in every Gram Panchayat. For local entrepreneurs, becoming a VLE is also a self-employment opportunity, earning commission on every transaction.
Two ways to benefit
- As a citizen: Simply visit your nearest CSC to access any of its 300+ services — no registration needed beyond what the specific service requires (e.g. Aadhaar for a PAN application).
- As a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE): Register to operate a CSC and earn commission on every service you deliver to your community.
