Matru Shakti addresses that gap directly and simply: a free nutrition kit worth ₹2,000, delivered monthly through the local Anganwadi centre, giving pregnant and lactating women in Gujarat a guaranteed monthly supply rather than leaving nutrition entirely to what the family budget allows that particular month.
Who is eligible
- Pregnant or lactating woman resident in Gujarat.
- Registered at a local Anganwadi centre.
- No income restriction — the kit is universal for registered pregnant/lactating women.

How to apply
- Register your pregnancy at your nearest Anganwadi centre as early as possible.
- Confirm your registration for Matru Shakti with the Anganwadi worker.
- Collect the nutrition kit monthly from the Anganwadi centre — dal, chana, oil and similar staples.
- Continue collection through the lactation period as per the scheme's coverage window.
