What this scheme offers
The Mumkin scheme, launched under Mission Youth by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, helps unemployed young people in Jammu and Kashmir become owner-drivers of small commercial vehicles such as load carriers and pickups. The banking partner lends up to 100% of the on-road price. Mission Youth then pays an upfront subsidy of ₹80,000 or 10% of the on-road price, whichever is lower, and the vehicle manufacturer gives a special discount of at least the same amount, both credited to the beneficiary's loan account. Applications are made online through the J&K e-services portal, and loans were reported to be processed within about 15 days. Eligibility is mostly given as age 18 to 35 with a pass in Class 10 or above, although Mission Youth's FAQ page shows different age and qualification limits.
