What this scheme offers
'Abua' means 'our own' in the Ho and Mundari languages, and the scheme is built around exactly that idea — a genuinely proper house, three rooms plus a kitchen across roughly 31 square metres, for families in Jharkhand who currently have no pucca house at all. The ₹2 lakh construction grant is released in instalments tied to how far along the build actually is, and the eligibility list gives explicit priority to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, widows and persons with disabilities — recognising that these are the households most likely to have been overlooked by other housing programmes. The most recent beneficiary list update for phase implementation came on 10 July 2026.
