What this scheme offers
'Mo Ghara' means 'my home', and the scheme is Odisha's own answer to a gap the central PM Awas Yojana doesn't fully close — houseless families and those still living in kutcha houses who, for various eligibility reasons, aren't covered under PMAY. Launched in 2024 by CM Mohan Majhi, it pays ₹1.30 lakh in three instalments tied to construction progress, with priority given to Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste families, women-headed households, landless families and persons with disabilities — a target of 45 lakh households makes it one of the most ambitious state housing programmes Odisha has run.
