What this scheme offers
Before this scheme, Jharkhand's state employees and pensioners generally relied on reimbursement of medical bills after the fact — workable, but slow, and it meant paying out of pocket first and waiting to be repaid. Launched by CM Hemant Soren, this insurance-based scheme gives the state's own workforce and retirees genuine cover at a low monthly cost, structured more like a standard health insurance policy than a reimbursement claim process.
