What this scheme offers
The Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana is the umbrella scheme under which the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society, the state's nodal body for skilling under the Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department, trains young people for jobs and self-employment. The training is free, runs in all 24 districts in both residential and non-residential centres, and the centres are accredited through the National Skill Development Corporation. A distinctive feature is the Rojgar Protsahan Bhatta: if a trainee does not find work within three months of finishing, the state pays ₹1,000 a month to boys and ₹1,500 a month to girls, disabled and transgender trainees, for up to a year, by direct transfer. A transport allowance is also provided. This is a skill-training scheme and not exam coaching.
