What this scheme offers
PM Awas Yojana Gramin covers most rural pucca-housing needs, but its beneficiary list — based on the 2011 SECC survey — inevitably misses households that became eligible afterward. Ladli Behna Awas Yojana closes that specific gap for one group: women already enrolled in Ladli Behna Yojana who are homeless or living in a kutcha (temporary) house and weren't on the PMAY-G list. An estimated 4 lakh women fall into this category. Eligible beneficiaries receive ₹2 lakh, released in three instalments as construction actually progresses from foundation to completion.
