What this scheme offers
Atal Ghar is Maharashtra's own layer on top of the central PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0, aimed at Economically Weaker Section and Low Income Group families who need more support than the central interest subsidy alone provides. Eligible households can get up to ₹1.80 lakh knocked off the interest on a home loan, converging with the central scheme's own criteria rather than running as a fully separate parallel programme — which means applying correctly means going through PMAY-U 2.0 first, with the state top-up applied where eligible.
Who is eligible
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or Low Income Group (LIG) household, per PMAY-U 2.0 income criteria.
- Resident of an urban area in Maharashtra.
- Does not currently own a pucca house anywhere in India.
- Applying through, and eligible under, PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0.

How to apply
- Apply through PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 first, via your local municipal body (Nagar Nigam/Nagar Palika) or the PMAY-U portal.
