File No. SS-RJ-SKL-003 · Rajasthan State Scheme · Rajasthan Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board

Rajasthan BOCW Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana

Registration with Rajasthan's Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board opens access to 15+ benefits for masons, labourers and other construction workers — a daughter's marriage grant, scholarships, accident and death insurance, and a pension — for an unorganised workforce that otherwise has almost no institutional safety net.

What this scheme offers

Registration with Rajasthan's BOCW Welfare Board is the gateway to one of the more comprehensive construction-worker welfare packages among Indian states — reportedly 15 or more distinct benefits covering a daughter's marriage (₹55,000), children's scholarships (₹8,000-₹35,000 depending on level), death and accident insurance (up to ₹5 lakh), a pension, and more, funded through a cess collected on construction projects statewide. As with similar boards elsewhere, the specific amounts are best confirmed directly with the Board, since welfare-board benefit schedules are revised periodically and aggregator figures can lag.

Who is eligible

  • Engaged in building or construction work in Rajasthan (mason, labourer, carpenter, electrician, and similar trades).
  • Age typically 18 to 60 years.
  • Worked a minimum number of days in construction in the preceding period, as prescribed by the Board.
  • Registered with the Board (registration must be renewed periodically).

Documents required

  • Aadhaar card
  • Jan Aadhaar card
  • Proof of construction work (contractor/employer certificate or self-declaration per Board rules)
  • Age proof
  • Bank account details (Aadhaar-seeded)
  • Passport-size photograph

How to apply

  1. Register as a construction worker through the labour department's portal or at a local labour office / e-mitra kiosk.
  2. Submit proof of construction work along with identity documents.
  3. Keep your registration renewed as required — a lapsed registration can block benefit claims.
  4. Apply separately for each specific benefit (marriage grant, scholarship, insurance claim, pension) when the relevant situation arises.
  5. Confirm current benefit amounts with the Board before relying on any figure, as these are revised periodically.
