What this scheme offers
The Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar is Tripura's state support for pregnant women, added on top of the central Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. It was launched on 25 June 2020 as free nutrition kits worth about ₹500 — peanuts, soya beans, mixed pulses, jaggery and ghee — handed out after each antenatal check-up at a primary health centre, up to four times. Recent state and guide reports describe it as ₹500 paid by direct bank transfer after each check-up, again up to four times, approved by the Child Development Project Officer, and the state's gender budget for 2025-26 refers to financial assistance to about 30,000 pregnant women in 2024-25. The district department page still describes kits, so the form of the benefit should be confirmed locally.
