Uttarakhand Disability Pension (Divyang Pension)

₹1,500 a month for persons with a disability of 40% or more in Uttarakhand whose family income is within the state limit or who hold a BPL card, applied for online and verified by the District Social Welfare Officer before payment into the bank account.

What this scheme offers

Uttarakhand's Disability Pension, also called the financial assistance scheme for disabled persons, pays ₹1,500 a month to persons with a disability of 40% or more. The applicant should be from a family within the state's income limit, listed in older sources as ₹48,000 a year, or hold a BPL card. Applications are made online and are verified by the District Social Welfare Officer, after which the pension is credited to the bank account. Older descriptions say it is paid at intervals of a few months rather than monthly, and applicants can check their status online. Persons with disabilities should also hold a Unique Disability ID or a medical disability certificate of 40% or more.
