Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana (Assam Farm Tool Aid)

₹5,000 by direct transfer to small and marginal farmers in Assam to buy farm tools and implements, targeting five lakh farmer families, applied for at the Agricultural Extension Assistant's office; a larger ₹11,000 annual support was announced in May 2026 but is not yet in force.

What this scheme offers

The Mukhyamantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana was announced in Assam's 2019 budget to promote farm mechanisation among small farmers. Each eligible farmer gets ₹5,000 by direct bank transfer to buy farm tools and implements, and the government aimed to cover five lakh farmer families. The scheme is for small and marginal farmers who are residents of Assam and at least 21 years old, who have cultivated for at least three consecutive years; tenants and sharecroppers with at least one acre (three bigha) may also be considered, and only one farmer per family can apply. Kisan Credit Card holders are eligible. In May 2026 the state announced a five-year agriculture roadmap that would raise the support to ₹11,000 a year, but that has not yet been implemented, and the Directorate of Agriculture still lists ₹5,000.
