What this scheme offers
Before e-NAM, a farmer's produce could only be sold to the handful of traders present at their nearest APMC mandi that day — limited competition, and no way to check what the crop was really worth elsewhere. e-NAM networks 1,650+ mandis across 23 states and 4 UTs into a single online trading platform under a "One Nation, One Market" model. Produce is quality-graded through standardised assaying before sale, buyers from any connected mandi can bid competitively online, and payment moves directly to the farmer's bank account via RTGS, NEFT or UPI — cutting out payment delays and middleman deductions. As of 2026, the platform supports 247 tradable commodities, has enabled ₹4.84+ lakh crore in cumulative trade, and covers 1.8+ crore registered farmers and 2.7+ lakh registered traders.
